I know this is late, and many of the public meetings have already passed, but there are still some going on this week for Gwinnett, Rockdale, Fulton (South), Dekalb, and Clayton counties. The schedule and locations of the meetings can be found on the ARC website here. Furthermore, there will be a Community Briefing on October 10th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the ARC downtown office in order to provide general and up-to-date information about the TIA.
Right now, according to a recent poll conducted by the Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, Inc. there is a 51 percent support for the referendum. The poll was conducted on 625 registered voters, and the results pretty much show an inconclusive tie. This should get Atlanta residents off their butt, and into the public meetings to provide their ideas and their support (or lack of!) for the TIA.
The Georgia Tech ITE chapter will be attending the Dekalb meeting this Wednesday and we are extremely excited to participate in this process.
