ITE@GT Free Membership for 2020-2021

ITE will not collect the membership fee for 2020-2021. All transportation students can join ITE@GT for free this year. Previous ITE members who don’t renew the membership before September 24 will be removed from the ITE member list. You need to be an active ITE member to be eligible for TRB funding and GAITE scholarship application.

To maintain an active membership, you need to attend at least one of the September or October monthly meeting, otherwise your ITE membership will be void.

  • If you want to apply for the GAITE scholarship, you will need to attend ITE September monthly meeting. ITE will send a scholarship application eligibility list to GAITE after the meeting. Members fail to attend this meeting will lose the eligibility.
  • If you want to receive funding support for TRB, you will need to attend both ITE October monthly meeting and November monthly meeting. TRB 2020 registration fee is $95. More details will be discussed during the November monthly meeting.

September Monthly Meeting

Join ITE September monthly meeting (Thursday, September 24, 11-11:50AM) to get to know about special event traffic planning related to the 2019 Super Bowl in Atlanta presented by Kimley-Horn. GAITE Scholarship Application

GAITE scholarship application is open! The applications will be due on Friday, November 6 (no later than 11:59 PM). Applicants must be a current member of a GAITE student chapter and/or ITE international to be eligible to receive the award.

ITE@GT Open Positions

Interested in getting involved in ITE? Nominate yourself or a friend by contacting Yangjiao (ychen3254@gatech.edu) with the name, year at Tech, and position. New and veteran undergrad or grad transportation students are welcome to apply! The open positions for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 include the secretary and the social and community service chair.

SECRETARY: The Secretary will record the proceedings of each meeting during the full academic year, distribute the minutes to the members, maintaining the membership roster and website. In addition, the secretary undertakes writing the bulk of the Annual Report.

SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE CHAIR: Social and Community Service Chair’s duties include planning, coordinating, and promoting all social and community service activities during the full academic year. In addition, this chair will manage ITE Facebook page.

Career Fair

Unfortunately, we will not be holding a Transportation Career Fair this semester due to COVID-19 social distancing restrictions.
We would like to encourage students to attend the CEEatGT Career Expo on Friday, September 11th 9-4pm using a Virtual Platform- Career Fair Plus where students can schedule virtual 1:1 session with recruiter.
