TRB Central

There’s plenty to do at TRB. Here are links, tips, etc. to help you do it right.

Shameless Self-promotion

Georgia Tech students and faculty play a very large role at TRB, and we have compiled a list of all Tech-affiliated presentations, papers, etc. You can find it all here: 2013 TRB GT Participants. Also remember the Georgia Tech reception is on Tuesday evening. See the networking plan for details.

You should make the most of the above with your own business cards. If you don’t have Tech-published cards (or don’t want to pay for them), you can use our business cards template(thanks, Mags!).

Physical Exertion

James will be leading a bike tour through DC on Sunday at 10:00am through lunchtime (we will be back for 1:30pm sessions). Depending on the group, it will either focus on bicycle infrastructure, or on sight seeing. Both are fun! It is expected to be in the 60’s – but be prepared for colder or wet weather. If you are interested, please let him know by Friday and be sure he has your cell number and email. Click on the link below to sign up.

Training

If this is your first time at TRB, you may be a little overwhelmed by all the possible things you could spend your time on. These are thee things you can do to get oriented:

  1. New Attendees Welcome Session – Sunday, January 13, 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Shoreham
  2. Young Professionals Reception – Tuesday, January 15, 5:45 p.m.  – 7:15 p.m.at the Marriott
  3. Find a more advanced student who is interested in the same things you are interested in, and ask for tips on what sessions they are going to.
